REAL ESTATE CONSULTING / ASSOCIATE CONSULTANT FULL TIME POSITION
TATE RESEARCH  – starting summer 2025

Tate Research Inc. (TR) is seeking an enthusiastic self starter who is highly motivated, well organized and passionate about city-building.   We are creating a position for someone who is a recent / soon-to-be university graduate or who has up to 3 years of real estate and/or market analysis experience.  

 
TR provides consulting services in all facets of commercial real estate, including retail, office, industrial, hotel, seniors and others. Our diverse experience extends across the country providing expertise and consulting services to retailers, developers, asset managers and municipalities.

Your experience with us will result in you being able to approach consulting assignments in a strategic manner whether you stay with us and progress to managing your own clients or decide to branch out into the various associated fields such as planning, working for a residential or commercial developer or a retailer in their market analysis department. 
Requirements:

  • The opening will be suitable for a university graduate (or soon to be graduating student) with a degree or specialization in Geography, Planning, Spatial Analysis, Urban Studies, Urban Innovation or similar discipline.  

  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • A basic understanding of planning and urban systems.

  • Familiarity with ArcGIS would be beneficial, however its not required.

  • A valid G class licence or in the process of obtaining one

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Flexibility and the ability to adapt is essential as we work on a broad array of projects which are constantly evolving.  

Associate Consultant Responsibilities:

  • Fieldwork - Conduct in-person visits to assess the locational characteristics of the sites and conduct retail inventories. Some travel will be required.

  • Support senior staff with primary and secondary data collection.

  • Research and market analysis.

  • Data presentation including tabularizing and illustrating data in an effective manner.

  • Prepare written summary reports of data collection findings.

Base salary for this position is flexible based on the level of industry experience and exposure, plus a discretionary bonus.
